FluiDx-AD consortium meets in Bologna to review progress and plan next steps

The FluiDx-AD consortium held its General Assembly meeting in Bologna, Italy, bringing together partners to review progress and align on the continued development of novel diagnostic solutions for Alzheimer’s disease. The FluiDx-AD project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme, aims to improve early diagnosis and management of Alzheimer’s disease through the development of three complementary diagnostic tests based on saliva, plasma, and whole blood.

The meeting featured updates on scientific progress across the consortium, including advances in assay development and clinical validation planning, as well as the establishment of a secure shared data infrastructure to support integration of biomarker and clinical data across partners. Partners also discussed a proposed EU Hop-on Action to expand the consortium, ongoing health economic modelling activities, and next steps in clinical validation and development. The meeting concluded with updates on project coordination and a shared commitment to the next phase of development.
